About The Position

The Medication Assistant supports residents in assisted living and potentially Memory Care with medication needs and daily care. This full-time overnight position is scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and requires weekend availability. The role also includes responding promptly and safely to resident and visitor requests, emergencies, and environmental hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and order medications and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist assisted living and potentially Memory Care residents with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, and wound care.
• Communicate with outside health care professionals as necessary.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
