About The Position

The Medication Assistant supports residents in assisted living and potentially Memory Care by maintaining, ordering, and assisting with medication needs. The role also includes documenting medication assistance, helping residents with activities of daily living and basic care needs, transporting residents within the community, and responding appropriately to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards.

This is a full-time overnight position scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend availability required. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist assisted living and potentially Memory Care residents with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, wound care, and communication with outside health care professionals as necessary.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
