About The Position

The Medication Assistant supports residents in assisted living, and potentially Memory Care, with medication needs and activities of daily living. The role includes maintaining and ordering medications, documenting medication assistance, supporting resident health and safety, and responding to requests and emergencies. This is a full-time evening position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and order medications and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, wound care, and communication with outside health care professionals as necessary.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
