Medication Assistant, Assisted Living - NOC
About The Position
The Medication Assistant supports residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care by maintaining, ordering, and assisting with medication needs; transcribing and documenting information in the Medication Assistance Record; and helping with activities of daily living and basic care needs. The role also involves taking vital signs, providing first aid and wound care, and communicating with outside health care professionals as necessary. The assistant transports residents within the community and responds promptly and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards. The schedule is full-time, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., on varied days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification.
- Experience working with an elderly population.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.
- Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
- Assist residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, and wound care.
- Communicate with outside health care professionals as necessary.
- Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
- Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
