About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a Medication Assistant to support residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care. The role is full-time and scheduled overnight. Responsibilities include helping residents with medication needs and providing support with activities of daily living, basic care, and resident requests. The Medication Assistant also responds to emergencies and environmental hazards and helps residents get around the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and order medications and assist residents with their medication needs.
• Transcribe and document information in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care with activities of daily living, vital signs, first aid, and wound care.
• Communicate with outside health care professionals as necessary.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.
