About The Position

Aurora Valley Care Skilled Nursing & Rehab, a Caldera Care facility, is hiring a Medication Assistant-Certified for a skilled nursing facility. This position is specifically for someone with the Medication Assistant-Certified endorsement; it is not a medical assistant position or an assisted-living med tech position. The role is full-time, with day and evening shifts, and pays $28–$29 depending on experience.

Requirements

Hold current, active MACE national licensure with no enforcement action against it, or hold an active Washington NAC and have worked in a skilled nursing facility for at least 1,000 hours during the past calendar year.
Current NAC certification and active OBRA registry.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities.
In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations.
First Aid and CPR certifications.
Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English proficiently.
Ability to pass a background check with no disqualifying events.

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned residents receive medications and treatments as ordered in their care plans.
Direct NACs to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
Follow facility policies, including those related to infection control and safety.
Complete charting in PCC daily, in a timely manner and before the end of the shift.
Complete assessments as assigned by the Supervising RN, RCM, and/or DNS.
