About The Position

Parkside Care, a Caldera Care facility, is hiring Medication Assistants (MA-C) to provide coverage across all shifts at its skilled nursing facility in Union Gap, Washington. The role focuses on administering medications and treatments according to residents’ care plans, coordinating assigned tasks with NACs, following infection-control and safety policies, completing charting in PCC by the end of each shift, and completing assessments assigned by nursing leadership. Applicants must meet the facility’s skilled-nursing-facility credential or experience requirements. Employment is contingent on passing a background check.

Requirements

• Hold current active MACE national licensure with no enforcement action against it, or hold an active Washington NAC credential and have experience working in a skilled nursing facility, with at least 1,000 hours in the past calendar year.
• Speak, understand, read, and write English proficiently.
• Pass a background check with no disqualifying events; employment is contingent on passing the check.
• Provide at least two favorable professional references.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned residents receive medications and treatments as ordered in their care plans.
• Direct NACs to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Follow the center’s policies, including infection-control and safety policies.
• Complete all charting in PCC daily before the end of the shift.
• Complete assigned assessments as directed by the Supervising RN, RCM, and/or DNS.
