About The Position

Eventide Prairie Commons Assisted Living in Grand Island is hiring a part-time Universal Worker II / Medication Aide (MA40). The scheduled shift is 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (eight hours), with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The role requires active, good-standing MA40 and CNA licenses in Nebraska. The starting pay range is $17.00–$19.04 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions and depend on employment status and shift worked.

Requirements

• Active CNA license in Nebraska.
• Active MA40 license in Nebraska, in good standing.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience as an aide or caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring or ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follow department protocol for submitting completed documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adjust work throughout the shift to meet changing or overlapping needs, including call lights.
• Perform duties within the assigned work environment as assigned by Eventide.
• Follow each individual's comprehensive care plan or service plan.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy requirements and safeguard protected health information.
• When utilizing an MA40, prepare and administer medications and treatments under RN direction, within scope of practice, as ordered by a physician and according to facility policies and procedures.
