About The Position

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), identified as Universal Worker I. The CNA assists residents with physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs, following established nursing care procedures under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the supervisor in charge. The scheduled shift is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. (eight hours), with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Nebraska is required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring and ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with resident/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follow department protocol for submitting completed documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adjust throughout the shift to meet changing or overlapping needs of residents, clients, caregivers, team members, and managers, including responding to call lights when necessary.
• Perform duties within the assigned work environment as assigned by Eventide, regardless of team member preference.
• Follow the comprehensive care plan or service plan developed for each resident/client.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy requirements and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.
