About The Position

ISTA Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Scribes Team Lead to join its expanding team. The role combines team leadership and operational oversight with medical scribing duties. The Team Lead plans daily workflows and assignments, monitors productivity against a 40-chart target, manages coverage and pending work, and oversees documentation quality. They coach and develop scribes, prepare weekly reports and leadership updates, and train and support new and existing team members. Scribing duties include converting transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats and expanding medical abbreviations and jargon into their formal versions. The role collaborates with team members and other departments to improve customer experience. The position is work-from-home and requires working the night shift.

Requirements

Graduate of any medical course.
At least 1 year of Team Lead, Supervisory, or SME experience under a healthcare account.
At least 2 years of Medical Scribes experience, specifically live scribing.
Experience with ECW.
Typing speed averaging 50–60 WPM.
Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Amenable to working the night shift.

Responsibilities

Plan daily workflows and assignments.
Monitor productivity and the 40-chart target.
Manage coverage, pending tasks, and workload.
Audit scribe documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Track quality trends and provide weekly reports.
Conduct coaching and performance reviews.
Create improvement plans and apply feedback.
Prepare weekly production and issue reports and provide leadership updates.
Train and onboard new scribes, and provide ongoing support, feedback, and escalation.
Convert transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats.
Type out the full forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, as well as the formal versions of medical jargon.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve the overall customer experience.
