About The Position

A rapidly growing local medical equipment company is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Medical Sales Representative. The role works with physicians in the sleep, cardiac, and respiratory markets to achieve sales goals and increase awareness and education about the company’s products. The representative sells and educates clients about durable medical equipment, respiratory equipment, and sleep-related products to meet the needs of physicians and patients.

Requirements

• Proven sales success; medical or pharmaceutical sales experience is required.
• At least 2 years of medical, clinical, or pharmaceutical sales experience, or clinical experience as a respiratory therapist in a hospital, facility, or homecare setting.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a highly energetic sales personality.
• Able to pass a background check upon hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old to be covered by company auto insurance and have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• A respiratory therapist degree or license is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with durable medical equipment or a respiratory/sleep background is a significant plus, but not required.
• A background in pharmaceutical sales, medical supplies, medical services, or medical devices is an ideal fit.
• Respiratory or sleep sales experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Prepare action plans and schedules identifying specific targets and projecting the number of contacts to be made.
• Prepare status reports covering activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Communicate product and service opportunities, developments, information, and field feedback to appropriate company staff.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
• Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
• Coordinate with company staff to complete work required to close sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
