About The Position

Central Texas Neurology Consultants is seeking a Medical Receptionist for its Round Rock, Texas neurology practice. This is a full-time, 100% on-site role with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and no weekend shifts. The receptionist is the face and voice of the practice, helping create a reassuring, organized, and efficient experience for patients and families from their first call or arrival through check-out. The role supports front-desk operations, appointment coordination, insurance and records administration, and daily patient flow while protecting confidential health information.

Requirements

1–2+ years of medical front-desk, healthcare administration, or high-volume customer service experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a calm, patient demeanor.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and basic office software.
Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality for an 8:00 AM start, and ability to multitask in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and families warmly and empathetically.
Manage patient check-in and check-out and maintain an organized, comfortable front lobby.
Manage phone lines, answer patient inquiries, triage calls, and schedule specialized neurology appointments accurately.
Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, process new-patient paperwork, and securely scan and route medical records.
Collaborate with neurologists and clinical staff to support smooth daily patient flow and minimize wait times.
Comply with HIPAA guidelines to protect sensitive patient health information.
