About The Position

Dayton Gastroenterology is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist for its clinic at 4200 Indian Ripple Road in Beavercreek, Ohio. The role supports patients and visitors at the front desk, handles scheduling and patient records, and collects payments. Previous front-office experience is required, and knowledge of medical terminology is a bonus. Occasional travel to the Englewood office is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Previous experience working in a front-office setting required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, assess their needs, and direct them appropriately.
• Answer the phone as needed.
• Verify and enter patient demographic information in the EMR.
• Check for necessary referrals.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed and signed, and assemble patient charts.
• Schedule office visits, procedures, X-rays, and other tests as requested.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at the time of the visit.
• Confirm patient office visits and procedures scheduled for the next day.
• Manage and update patient records.
• Maintain the front desk and reception areas.
• Occasionally travel to other offices, including Englewood.
