About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Lab Assistant II to work in the Outpatient Laboratory at Baptist Medical Center South, in the MOB2 Lab. This is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The role includes specimen processing and phlebotomy procedures, with daily face-to-face interaction with patients. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and use comprehensive computer skills.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Excellent customer service skills for daily face-to-face interactions with patients.
• Comprehensive computer skills.
• Less than one year of Medical Laboratory Assistant experience.
• High school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical and technical duties associated with pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicate laboratory results and respond to specimen-related questions from physicians and other caregivers.
• Collect blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Use computer functions.
