About The Position
Baptist Heart Specialists is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for its Baptist South campus in Jacksonville, Florida. The role performs back-office medical assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, and assisting the provider. The position is located at South - MOB III, 14534 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of patient care experience.
- Experience in a physician's office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
- Certified Medical Assistant credential.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
- Process prescription requests and referrals.
- Room patients, perform EKGs, and assist the provider.
