About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions’ Onsite Division is seeking Medical Interpreters in Moses Lake, Washington, and surrounding areas. Interpreters work face-to-face in healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis as independent contractors, helping patients with limited English proficiency communicate with healthcare providers. The role supports understanding, dignity, and quality care across healthcare interactions. The interpreter provides accurate, high-quality consecutive interpretation during medical appointments and other healthcare interactions. They facilitate clear communication while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and strict confidentiality, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and following client-specific protocols.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language at a professional spoken and understood level.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
Nice To Haves
- Proven medical interpreting experience.
- Educational background in languages or interpretation.
