About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions’ Onsite Division is seeking Medical Interpreters in Colville, Washington, and surrounding areas. In this role, you will work face-to-face in healthcare facilities, interpreting during medical appointments and other healthcare interactions to support clear communication between patients and providers. The work is performed on an as-needed basis as an independent contractor, with flexible, assignment-based scheduling.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language, spoken and understood at a professional level.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory-retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
Nice To Haves
- Proven medical interpreting experience is preferred.
- An educational background in languages or interpretation is a plus.
