About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions’ Onsite Division is seeking Medical Interpreters in Tri-Cities, Washington, and surrounding areas. The role provides face-to-face consecutive interpretation during medical appointments and other healthcare interactions, facilitating clear communication between patients and healthcare providers. Interpreters work in healthcare facilities on an as-needed, assignment-based basis as independent contractors.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language, spoken and understood at a professional level.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory-retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
Nice To Haves
- Medical interpreting experience is preferred.
- Educational background in languages or interpretation is a plus.
