About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions is seeking Medical Interpreters for its Onsite Division in Spokane, Washington, and surrounding areas. The role supports communication between patients with limited English proficiency and healthcare providers, helping ensure understanding, dignity, and quality care. Interpreters work face-to-face in healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis as independent contractors. Assignments are flexible and may take place across a variety of healthcare settings.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language at a professional spoken and comprehension level.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
Nice To Haves
- Proven medical interpreting experience.
- Educational background in languages or interpretation.
Responsibilities
