Medical Intermediate Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide individualized patient care in a positive and supportive work environment. The position offers opportunities for entry-level and experienced CNAs, nursing assistants, and patient care technicians. Candidates who are not certified or lack applicable experience receive six weeks of full-time on-the-job training. The role contributes to hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Nursing assistants provide care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN and work collaboratively with other health care team members. The employer does not accommodate seasonal or temporary employees.
Requirements
- Less than one year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Team-oriented approach, eagerness to expand skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks.
- Assist with activities of daily living and care, including bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate patient family needs proactively.
- Individualize and modify care according to patient needs.
- Collaborate with other health care team members to enhance patient care.
