Medical Intermediate Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient care and help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Nursing Assistants provide individualized care in a positive, supportive work environment, treating patients and colleagues with respect and kindness. Candidates may be experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), nursing assistants, patient care technicians, or people interested in entering patient care. Candidates who are not certified or lack applicable experience receive six weeks of full-time on-the-job training. The employer cannot accommodate seasonal or temporary employees.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.

- Eagerness to expand skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Applicable experience: less than one year.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks.
- Assist with activities of daily living and care, including bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate the needs of patients’ families proactively.
- Individualize and modify care according to patient needs.
- Collaborate with other health care team members to enhance patient care.
