The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based, customer-facing employee primarily working inside hospitals. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment used in surgical procedures, as well as providing installation support on complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic units. The equipment includes STERIS' main line of OEM equipment such as Washers, Sterilizers, Ultrasonics, Steam Generators, and Cart washers. This position is a safety-sensitive role and requires heavy travel, up to 75% of the time, potentially including multiple overnight stays Monday through Friday. The technician will service customers in assigned districts, including New Jersey and Delaware, and will work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and document troubleshooting. The role also involves providing customers with information, pricing, and repair options, and identifying sales opportunities to drive customer experience and revenue.
