Medical Equipment Technicians help patients safely transition care into their homes, long-term care settings, clinics, or other locations where service is needed. They deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment, while educating patients and caregivers to promote comfort, safety, and independence. Technicians assess and reassess patients, respond to equipment issues—including emergencies when required—and maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits. They deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, maintain, and perform basic repairs on equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards. They also complete accurate and timely orders and documentation, support appropriate billing and reimbursement, and follow patient confidentiality, HIPAA, infection control, safety, and compliance requirements. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. Relevant healthcare technician, military, delivery, field-service, or customer-service experience is preferred. Compensation is based on experience, location, and role level; the listed salary range is $22.00–$27.00.
