About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in New City, New York. The Courier picks up, transports, and delivers medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The position includes use of a company vehicle for the route. For $125 per month, the employee may elect to take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The stated pay range is $17.75 to $21.00 per hour. Labcorp describes itself as a global laboratory services and diagnostic testing company focused on improving health and lives.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of driver or courier experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load the supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
