About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Albany, New York. The Courier is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The role involves completing scheduled pickups, delivering pickups to the branch at the end of the shift, safely handling specimens and samples, operating a company vehicle, and using a handheld electronic device to manage pickups. The Courier also coordinates with the dispatcher for additional pickups and evaluates traffic, alternate routes, and weather conditions as needed. The work schedule is Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The pay range is $17.75 to $21.00 per hour. No education or experience is required.

Requirements

Very punctual with strong time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
One or more years of driver or courier experience.
One or more years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
Coordinate with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports.
Provide excellent service to clients.
