About The Position

Accurate Courier Services contracts with independent couriers to support healthcare clients throughout the Charleston area. We are currently reviewing qualified independent contractors for ongoing courier opportunities. For over 20 years, Accurate Courier Services has partnered with hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and medical offices to safely deliver and transport critical medical items according to schedule. Our services support time-sensitive healthcare operations and require a high standard of professionalism and reliability.

Requirements

Minimum age 21 with at least 3 years of personal-vehicle driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to pass background and drug screenings as required by healthcare clients.
Reliable, registered vehicle and smartphone compatible with required applications.
Provide and maintain a reliable vehicle and compatible smartphone.
Maintain current driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance.
Comply with HIPAA and all confidentiality and data-protection requirements.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Charleston area roadways and traffic patterns is a plus.
Medical, laboratory, or courier experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Transport pharmaceuticals, medical instruments, supplies, mail, documents, and medical specimens (room temperature, refrigerated, and frozen).
Log pick-ups and drop-offs using a secure mobile application to support chain-of-custody requirements.
Complete services within agreed-upon pick-up and delivery windows.
Communicate delays, incidents, or service issues through the designated communication channel.
Perform services in a professional and courteous manner consistent with healthcare client expectations.
Perform services free from impairment, in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
