About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Courier in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role supports healthcare and medical diagnostics by transporting specimens and laboratory materials safely and on time. The courier works independently on a scheduled route, communicates with healthcare and laboratory staff, and uses a company-provided non-CDL vehicle and mobile delivery tools. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The employee may be eligible for a shift differential of 10% for some or all second-shift hours and 15% for some or all third-shift hours; details are provided if an offer is extended.

Requirements

Hold a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 years of driving experience.
Provide documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions in the previous 36-month period and none in the most recent 12 months.
Have strong customer service and communication skills.
Have strong attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
Be able to work independently and problem-solve on the road.
Be comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools.
Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of the shift.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials on a scheduled route.
Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
Safely operate a company-provided non-CDL vehicle.
Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
