About The Position

Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems, operating across various states and managing thousands of daily stops. This independent-contractor route runs from Ventura to Los Angeles, covers approximately 75 miles, and is scheduled for Saturdays from 6:30 PM to approximately 9:30 PM. The start location is Ventura, California. Contractors located within 15 miles of the start point, end point, or anywhere along the route are well-suited for the position. The all-inclusive rate covers mileage, drive time, and expenses; there is no separate per-mile pay. The posting lists a $150 sign-on bonus after 30 active days with no call-offs, a weekly bonus opportunity, and a training bonus paid after 30 days with no call-offs. Payment is made by bi-weekly direct deposit or same-day cash-out, for which fees may apply. Contractors use Rapid Medical’s driver app for navigation, scheduling, real-time support, and proof of delivery. They handle specimens carefully and maintain the required temperature, and contact dispatch promptly about damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning items. Rapid Medical provides a branded shirt and bag, onboarding that includes an app walkthrough, route preview, and protocol training, and real-time dispatch support. Contractor engagements require a satisfactory background check and motor vehicle record review. Contractors are responsible for self-employment taxes; a 1099-NEC is issued for payments made.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a personal vehicle; a 2016 or newer vehicle is preferred.
Have a valid driver's license, active insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
Have a smartphone running iOS 13 or later or Android 11 or later, with reliable data.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Complete a satisfactory background check and motor vehicle record review.

Responsibilities

Complete the scheduled delivery route from Ventura to Los Angeles using the driver app.
Photograph pickups and deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
Handle specimens carefully and maintain the required room-temperature, refrigerated, or frozen conditions.
Contact dispatch promptly if an item appears damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning.
