About The Position

The Medical Associate in Orthopedics supports patient flow by preparing examination rooms and supplies for scheduled appointments, initiating and tracking paperwork related to consultations and examinations, and escorting patients. The role excludes direct patient care and care-delivery activities, including taking vital signs. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–1 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from examination and/or procedure areas.
• Review scheduled appointments to determine needed supplies.
• Obtain and set up supplies and equipment in advance.
• Initiate and track related paperwork, including biopsy records, prescription call-ins and renewals, and supply and equipment orders.
• Sterilize all equipment.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Do not perform direct patient care or care-delivery activities, including taking vital signs.
