About The Position

Desert Valley Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients at its Victorville, California location. The role combines clinical support with clerical, administrative, and organizational functions, helping provide an organized, welcoming, and patient-focused experience. The Medical Assistant also provides information to patients about clinic services and works with providers and staff to support efficient daily operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and ability to maintain it.
• At least one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to balance clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.
• Strong front-office skills preferred.
• Referral experience preferred.
• Spanish-speaking candidates highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clinical support activities.
• Perform clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
• Schedule appointments and maintain and manage patient charts.
• Provide patients with information so they can access and benefit from clinic services.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to support efficient daily operations.
• Provide professional, friendly, patient-focused service and convey a positive image of the organization.
• Support front-office functions.
