About The Position

A joint replacement specialty practice in North OKC is seeking an experienced, full-time Medical Assistant. The role supports patient care and clinic operations, including rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting histories, assisting with procedures, and providing some front desk coverage as needed. The position works Monday through Friday, with no weekends or major holidays.

Requirements

At least one year of clinic experience.
Ability to work efficiently at a high pace, including rooming up to 35–40 patients per day.
Positive team player who is organized, self-motivated, dependable, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to the clinical needs and expectations of multiple providers.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
High school graduate or equivalent (GED).

Nice To Haves

Experience in an orthopedic surgeon’s office.
Experience with Epic electronic health records.
Phlebotomy experience.
Workers’ Compensation experience.
Casting and bracing experience; candidates without this experience must be willing to train.

Responsibilities

Room and interview patients and document their histories.
Take patient vitals.
Triage patient calls.
Chart in Epic EHR and process checkout paperwork, including Workers’ Compensation Form 5s, referrals, and prescriptions.
Help guide patients throughout the clinic.
Assist with casting and bracing and remove sutures.
Provide front desk coverage as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
