About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant provides office duties in a medical office setting for Dr. O'Neal in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This is a permanent, full-time, 40-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- National medical assistant certification is required.
- Non-certified medical assistants must have at least two years of medical office experience to qualify.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take patients’ vital signs.
- Room patients.
- Process prescription refills.
- Enter lab and imaging orders.
- Enter data into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform telephone triage.
