About The Position

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered care in Cleveland, Georgia. The Medical Assistant assists with examinations and procedures, documents patient information, prepares examination rooms and equipment, administers medications and injections as directed, performs basic laboratory work, educates patients, and supports scheduling and other administrative tasks. The role requires comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
• Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records using eClinicalWorks.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
