About The Position

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered care. The role is based in Hartwell, Georgia, and involves assisting with examinations and procedures, documenting patient information, preparing clinical spaces, administering medications as directed, conducting basic laboratory work, educating patients, and handling administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant must be comfortable using a third-party language line for some communication.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records using eClinicalworks.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
