About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
• Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions.
• Proficiency using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and patient service.
• Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and prepare laboratory materials.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation.
• Answer phones, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and process referrals.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
• Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support seamless patient care.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
