About The Position

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered care. The position is located in Hartwell, Georgia, and requires comfort using a third-party language line for some communication. The Medical Assistant supports examinations and procedures, patient records, room and equipment preparation, medication administration, laboratory testing, patient education, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
• Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records using eClinicalworks.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
