About The Position

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered care to the local community. The role is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and requires comfort using a third-party language line for some communication. The Medical Assistant supports examinations and procedures, records patient information in eClinicalWorks, prepares examination rooms and equipment, administers medications and injections as directed, conducts basic laboratory tests, collects specimens, educates patients, and assists with scheduling, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks. The position also helps maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records using eClinicalWorks.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Use a third-party language line for some communication.
