About The Position
A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient-centric care delivery model in an office setting. The role communicates with patients and coworkers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care. The Medical Assistant supports a safe patient experience, gathers patient information, documents reasons for visits, and obtains vital signs. The role also communicates with patients, peers, and the wider health care team, answers patient phone calls, and relays messages for providers or nurses. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS (CPR) certification: present a current American Heart Association BLS course card at employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

- Previous experience in a medical office.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
