About The Position
A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient-centric care delivery model. In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and coworkers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care. The role helps provide a safe patient experience from the time patients enter a ProMedica facility, gathering patient data, documenting reasons for visits, and obtaining vital signs. The Medical Assistant also communicates with patients, peers, and the health care team, answers patient phone calls, and relays messages for providers or nurses. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS (CPR) course card from the AHA at the time of employment, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a medical office.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
