About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistants to support patient care across urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The Medical Assistant assists on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge to help ensure optimal delivery of medical care. This PRN position requires scheduling flexibility and may include travel to other clinics as needed. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at MainStreet clinics. KidsStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; clinic hours may change. The posting lists a rotating schedule, with alternating weeks of scheduled clinic days.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Flexibility with scheduling for the PRN position.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical assisting experience or education.

Responsibilities

Assist providers in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
Triage patients promptly in accordance with clinic procedures.
Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical histories before visits.
Perform laboratory tests in compliance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
Prepare examination rooms for appointments, ensuring they are clean and ready.
Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
Position patients for X-rays as directed by providers.
Help monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.
