Medical Assistant - East Palestine Clinic
About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. The role is responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management, and provides information to patients so they can fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. The Medical Assistant also conveys a positive image of the organization. The position is with the East Palestine Clinic at East Liverpool City Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation. The hospital serves the tristate region and provides emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health services for adults over age 55, and cardiac rehabilitation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum one year of work experience in a public contact job.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
