About The Position
OSUP Community Medical Group is hiring a Medical Assistant for its primary care practice in Powell, Colorado. The role supports direct patient care and performs routine specialized medical procedures according to established clinical protocols. The Medical Assistant assists medical and nursing staff with patient examinations and treatment, while also supporting patient information and office communications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one of the following: a diploma from a Medical Assistant Program; a minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience; Military Medic training; EMT-P (Paramedic) training; or the equivalent of 1 year of combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.

Responsibilities
- Room patients and measure and record vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Complete patient interviews and histories.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments, explain procedures, and assist with procedures as ordered by a physician.
- Assist with examinations, treatments, and special tests as needed.
- Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
- Collect patient samples, such as blood, urine, and sputum, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Manage and organize the medical office inbox to support timely, accurate communication with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the reception of incoming patient information and gather necessary data for healthcare providers.
