About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports patient healing by carrying out physician-ordered treatments and essential clinical duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The role includes conducting patient intake interviews, measuring vital signs, and documenting patient information to maintain thorough and continuous records. The Medical Assistant prepares examination and treatment rooms, keeping them clean, organized, and sterile, and supports clinic operations by ordering and stocking supplies, responding to patient inquiries, and completing other clerical tasks. The position is based at Ascension Madison Street Clinic in Appleton, Wisconsin, in the Primary Care department, with a day schedule and full-time hours.

Requirements

• BLS Provider credential obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse experience is desired.
