About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team, helping patients feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout their visit. The MA maintains basic life support certification and complies with the organization’s educational, licensure, and certification requirements. The role may cross-train to provide services at multiple sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job MA training; or completion of an MA Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience preferred.
