About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team who helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with the provider throughout each patient visit. The role is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and complying with the organization’s educational, licensure, and certification requirements. The Medical Assistant may cross-train to provide services at multiple sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations. This is an on-site position at the Cedarburg Clinic, scheduled for 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE). The position has no weekend or holiday hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
