About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team who helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with the provider throughout the patient’s visit. The Medical Assistant maintains basic life support certification and remains compliant with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. The role may cross-train to provide services at other sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations. This is an on-site position at the CP-Westbrook Health Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience is preferred.
