Medical Assistant -Urgent Care Float Pool
About The Position
Sentara Medical Group is currently hiring Qualified Medical Assistants-Urgent Care Float Pool! This is a full-time Float Pool position. This position will cover Urgent Care Locations in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. May require travel to Elizabeth City. Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role. Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Requirements
- Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
