About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you assist in delivering patient care by gathering information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs). You work closely with nurses and perform activities aligned with your education and demonstrated competencies. The role helps ensure patients receive appropriate care and medical procedures run smoothly. This position is scheduled from 3 PM to 11 PM and includes working every other weekend.

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the state if certification is required by the state or facility; certification is not required where the position does not require it.
Obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
Reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care by implementing established policies and procedures and using appropriate techniques and safety precautions.
Verify medications, gather patient history, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises according to site policies and procedures.
Follow infection control principles, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and keep work areas, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training, and follow the designated work schedule to support continuity of patient care and maintain the client staffing matrix.
