Medical Assistant - Full-Time 3PM-11PM

About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist in delivering patient care by gathering information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will work closely with nurses and perform activities consistent with your education and demonstrated competencies. The role helps ensure patients receive quality care and medical procedures run smoothly. The schedule is 3 PM–11 PM and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

Successfully complete an accredited CMA course.
Currently hold Medical Assistant certification in the state if certification is required by the state or facility; certification is not required where the position is not required to be certified.
Obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
Reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care by following established policies and procedures and using appropriate techniques and safety precautions.
Verify medications, gather patient history information, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises according to site policies and procedures.
Follow infection control principles, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and keep work areas, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training, and follow the designated work schedule to support continuity of patient care and the client staffing matrix.
