APPS Paramedical’s Georgia office is seeking medical professionals to complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance. Independent contractors conduct exams at clients’ homes or offices, following compliance and safety policies and protecting the accuracy and confidentiality of client information. Exams may include blood draws, medical histories, obtaining signatures, taking vital signs, collecting saliva samples, and performing 12-lead EKGs. Depending on the requirements, an exam lasts approximately 15 minutes to a little over an hour. Contractors set their own schedules and choose the ZIP codes in which they work. Appointments are scheduled for them, and exams are offered seven days a week, year-round. Compensation is up to $25 per completed case based on performance, with reimbursement every two weeks by direct deposit. The company provides a six-hour orientation to verify skills and introduce the paperwork and website used by contractors. Tablets, EKG machines, and centrifuges are available to rent or purchase; use of personal equipment may be considered but is not guaranteed.
